Parks and Public Spaces

Outdoor living is very much a part of the Denver lifestyle as evidenced by the more than 200 parks within the city area. Whether you’re taking a lunch break in Confluence Park, watching one of the summer movies in the park, or jogging along the 66-mile High Line Canal Trail, living in Denver means taking full advance of outdoor opportunities. Denver residents are serious about preserving public space. In fact, the state constitution was changed to allocate a portion of state lottery funds to protect outdoors spaces. So far, the Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) Amendment has resulted in an investment in more than 3,400 open space projects.
