The Brewers Association. Judging includes more than 3,100 beers from 624 U.S. brewers.
Mega-brewers such as Anheuser-Busch and MillerCoors participate, too, but "it's the craft brewers' showcase," says Buettner.
Mad Fox, which opened in 2010, has won medals each year and submitted the maximum of 10 beers for this year's competition.
