CCD VP named Outstanding Woman by Colorado Black Women for Political Action

Leslie McClellon, VP of Student Affairs at Community College of Denver (CCD), has been named an "Outstanding Woman" by Colorado Black Women for Political Action (CBWPA).

Leslie McClellon, vice president of Student Affairs at Community College of Denver (CCD), has been named an Outstanding Woman by Colorado Black Women for Political Action (CBWPA).  One of seven recipients for 2013, McClellon is being honored for her outstanding contributions in the category of education toward the well being and advancement of African American people in Colorado and the nation.  McClellon will receive her award at the CBWPA 34th “Annual Tribute to Black Women” luncheon, on Oct. 5.

As vice president of Student Affairs at CCD since 2010, McClellon is dedicated to the well being of all students and has been instrumental in developing and providing programs and systems designed to help them be successful academically and in life.  Dedicated to the betterment of her community, McClellon serves on the board of the Denver Metro Urban league, board of the Western Regional Council on African American Affairs, and is a member of the American Association of Community Colleges.
