LoHi's Q Digital launches microbrewery finder in Brew.by

LoHi-based Q Digital Studio has launched Brew.by (pronounced brew-bee) to help Colorado beer lovers sort through the state's 150-plus microbreweries.

"We found there weren't a whole lot of resources out there for beer lovers to find breweries," says Q Digital Studio Owner Susan Snipes. After a short private beta, the site launched to the public in June.

Breweries have basic profile pages with photos and beer lists that can be claimed for free. Standard ($12.95/month) and premium ($14.95 a month) subscriptions for upgraded features like analytics, integration with social media and premium profile placement.

"Users can also create an account to track where they've been and what beers they like," says Snipes.

Snipes and company are fleshing out other features as they push to grow their bases of breweries and users. "We're getting feedback from users and breweries," she adds. "It's fun to be at the stage where we call the shots. The craft-beer community in Colorado is really awesome."

Founded in 2007, the seven-employee Q Digital has focused on web design and development for largely nonprofit clients, says Snipes. Clients include FireSmart Canada as well as such local organizations as the Colorado Water Trust, the University of Denver's Sturm College of Law and Mosaic Employer Solutions.
