About Confluence Denver

Confluence Denver is about the people, ideas and innovators creating a world-class city desirable to the creative class. With a specific focus on entrepreneurship, startups, place building and arts and culture, we strive to highlight Denver's game changers. 

Every Wednesday, Confluence publishes a new newsletter edition discussing the city's most important developments and innovations.

Ray is a Denver-based journalist and editor who writes about culture, politics, and social change. His work has appeared in the Denver Post, 5280 magazine and many other regional and national publications, including the New York Times, Dwell magazine, Opera News and more.





 
 
Kara is a Chicago-area native who can't shake beautiful Colorado. After graduating from the University of Illinois, she worked for six years as a newspaper photographer before heading out on her own.

When Kara isn't out shooting for Confluence, she photographs weddings and portraits for Kara Pearson Photography. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, drinking microbrews and cycling. Kara lives in the Platt Park area with her husband, dog and cat.
 
Margaret has spent nearly 25 years in the newspaper industry, including seven years as a business reporter for The Denver Post. She's also written for the Fort Collins Coloradoan, St. Louis Business Journal and Belleville (Illinois) News-Democrat.

Her awards include best reporting from the Colorado Press Association and business and investigative/enterprise reporting from the Society of Professional Journalists.

She recently launched Margaret Jackson Living in Style, which focuses on Colorado residential real estate.

Chris is a Denver-based freelance writer, editor and communications specialist. He covers a range of topics from sustainability and outdoors to business, entertainment and social issues.

Rebecca has developed a wide-ranging career collaborating within social entrepreneurship, community building, public relations, and cause marketing. Recognized as a social entrepreneur, she is adjunct faculty at both Goucher College and Metro State University. Rebecca is the founder and President of A Foot in the Door Productions, an independent, collaboration-building firm designed to bridge the varying needs of business, government, nonprofits, academia and media.
