Interactive shop Mode Set looking to hire in the Central Platte Valley

Mode Set is set to hire two developers in 2013, says Jay Zeschin, Director and Co-Founder.

Zeschin co-founded Mode Set in 2011 with Gabe Varela, Justin Gitlin and Matthew Kitt, colleagues he met while at Denver marketing agency Factory Design Labs. There, the trio "had built this software development track within the agency," he says. That evolved into Mode Set, a full-stack-oriented creative development agency that now employs eight.

"We have a pretty broad range of skill sets," says Zeschin. "Our background is all over the place -- from game development to IT consulting to biochemistry."

"We set out with the goal of doing interesting work for both brand clients and startup clients," says Zeschin. "We'll work with anyone and everyone."

Local clients include Qdoba and CirrusMD, a telemedicine startup. "We're building out their entire product," says Zeschin, describing a smartphone app connecting patients and doctors.

Mode Set installed a large scale video game on the exterior of the Colorado Convention Center for Create Denver in May 2012. (See video below.) The company also helped develop mobile apps for the 2012 animated movie, ParaNorman.

"It's interesting to see where the development mix is going," says Zeschin. Android is on the rise, he adds.

So is the company's Central Platte Valley location. "It's been pretty cool to see," says Zeschin. "You basically have a three-block stretch of Platte Street with a ton of stuff packed into it. You run into people."
