Walnut Room starts delivery service

The Walnut Room has started delivery of its Chicago-style thin-crust pizza and made-to-order gourmet sandwiches.

Delivery hours are from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. The delivery area is between University and Kalamath and Colfax and Louisiana. Customers can order by calling 303-736-6750.

"Up to now, we made daytime deliveries only on an as-demands basis," says Leslie O’Dell, director of operations for The Walnut Room. "Now we offer delivery to anyone who wants to enjoy our amazing pizza and sandwiches in the comfort of their own homes."

Launched in 2005, The Walnut Room is owner John Burr's vision to combine his rehearsal studio business -- Soundstructure Studios -- with a place where local musicians can relax after a rehearsal session and enjoy pizza, sandwiches and beverages. The concept evolved into a full-service restaurant, bar and live-music venue, hosting fledgling local bands as well as established national acts, including Chris Isaak, Jewel, the Flobots, Churchill and The Fray.

Today, The Walnut Room has two locations: 3131 Walnut St. in Denver’s River North neighborhood and 2 Broadway in Baker. Both locations offer lunch, happy hour, dinner, a late-night menu, takeout and delivery and catering.
