Stapleton artists open studios to public

Experience the inne workings of artists’ studios and their craft on a self-guided tour of the Stapleton Open Studios later this week.

Seventeen artists are participating in the tour, which will feature work in different mediums, including oil and acrylics, mixed media, sculpture, photographic art, pastel, glass, watercolors and collage. Art will be on display and for sale.

The public can meet the artists, see how they work and enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at the artists’ creative process.

A commemorative poster has been created featuring an image of "Ride in the Sunshine" by Ansley Young.

The public is invited to join the artists at a kick-off reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 27 at Art & Framing at Stapleton at 7483 E. 29th Pl. in the Stapleton Town Center. Silent auction items by many of the participating artists will be up for bid.

The tour itself will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 28-29.
